Why showrooms remain indispensable in the digital age

During the last Fashion Week, several brands chose the spaces of Perfect Place Project to present their new collections. Tatras has set up Sourdière Street, Campillo in our store located at the foot of the Louvre, About Blank Saint-Gervais Seamstresses Street, while a multi-brand showroom took place at the 80 Beaumarchais Boulevard.

These appointments, reserved for buyers, journalists, and industry professionals, highlight a reality that has not changed despite the digitalization of exchanges: in fashion, nothing yet replaces the encounter with the product.

To see a collection is also to feel it

B2B platforms, online catalogs, and remote presentations have profoundly transformed the industry's operations. Yet, each Fashion Week continues to bring together hundreds of brands in showrooms located throughout Paris.

The reason is simple. A collection isn't discovered solely through photos. Buyers want to see the cuts, feel the fabrics, compare the finishes, and understand the craftsmanship behind each piece. This exchange also allows brands to share their process, their inspirations, and the choices that guided the collection's creation.

The showroom remains the best way to create this encounter.

A place that extends the brand's identity

The choice of showroom is no longer based solely on practical criteria. The address, architecture, and even the lighting play a full role in the presentation of the collection.

A contemporary space, a bright gallery, or a more private apartment don't tell the same story. The venue complements the brand's identity and contributes to the visitor experience.

During Fashion Week, where buyers have back-to-back appointments all day long, this first impression is essential.

Spaces designed for new presentation formats

Brand expectations have also evolved. A showroom must be able to accommodate business meetings, press presentations, photo shoots, or more informal exchange moments, sometimes within the same space.

This flexibility has become a real selection criterion. Brands are looking for venues that can adapt to their scenography while offering a setting that enhances their collections.

At Perfect Place Project, we assist brands with very different identities in their search for showrooms in Paris each season. Thanks to the diversity of our spaces, each brand can find a location that aligns with its identity and imagine a presentation true to its vision.
