Swatch transforms 18 rue de Turenne into a contemporary art laboratory
From January 28 to February 2, 18 rue de Turenne, a stone's throw from the Place des Vosges, hosted the Swatch AI-DADA Lab Paris.
For four days, the space transformed into a creative laboratory dedicated to contemporary art and innovation.
An international-scale art pop-up
More than 100 works on display in the heart of the Marais
For this event, Swatch showcased an exceptional selection of over one hundred artworks and watches from its art collection, as well as creations from the Swatch Art Peace Hotel and collaborations with major international cultural institutions.
This allowed the public to create their personalized watch thanks to AI-DADA, with a clear objective: to democratize art and make it accessible.
Mission declared, mission accomplished.
A gallery transformed into a creative laboratory
Color, traffic, modularity
Initially, 18 rue de Turenne is a 220 m² white gallery, bright and structured around open volumes.
For Swatch, space took on a whole new dimension:
- Colorful scenography
- Dense hook
- customization zones
- Immersive experience
The modularity of the space allowed for the integration of a substantial exhibition, over one hundred pieces, while maintaining fluid circulation. The large street-facing window served as a visual magnet, while natural light interacted with the vibrant colors of the scenography.
This type of configuration confirms the space's ability to accommodate ambitious cultural projects, whether it's an artistic pop-up, an experiential showroom, or an international launch.

With Swatch, the space has shown that it can accommodate:
- A large-scale exhibition
- an interactive technological device
- a continuous stream of visitors
- a strong visual identity
A place capable of supporting creativity without constraining it.
A space designed for cultural and event projects
The Swatch AI-DADA Lab Paris illustrated one essential thing: a high-performing event space must be adaptable, visible, and technically feasible.
Pop-up store, contemporary art exhibition, collection launch, international collaboration: 18 rue de Turenne asserts itself as a flexible space in the heart of Paris, ready to host demanding and highly creative formats.
Four days were enough to transform the gallery.
Proof that a well-designed space can become a genuine laboratory of ideas.
